How to Care for Your ebba Huggy Bear Plush

Quick answer

To keep your ebba Huggy Bear plush soft and safe, spot clean with a mild detergent and air dry flat. Avoid machine washing or harsh chemicals to preserve the textured fur.

Step-by-step care routine

1. Spot clean stains first: Dampen a soft cloth with cool water and a drop of mild detergent (like baby shampoo). Gently dab the soiled area, then blot with a clean damp cloth to remove soap. Let air dry completely. Avoid rubbing, which can distort the textured fur.
2. Hand wash for deeper cleaning: Fill a basin with cool water and a small amount of mild detergent. Submerge the plush and gently squeeze the fabric (do not wring). Rinse thoroughly with cool water until no suds remain. Never machine wash—the agitation can damage the fur and stuffing.
3. Air dry flat, reshape while damp: Lay the plush on a clean, dry towel. Gently reshape the arms, legs, and head. Let it air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Fluff the fur gently with your fingers once dry. Do not use a dryer or radiator; high heat can melt synthetic fibers and cause matting.
